Jeff took the helm at Resolute in Fall, 2010, and brought with him over 20 years of experience as a coach and athlete, as well as an extensive background in carbon fiber manufacturing. A regular Masters 1X competitor, he has participated in 14 Head of the Charles regattas, is a Level III certified coach, and is VP of Quinsigamond Rowing Association. Jeff’s athletic career started with soccer, lacrosse and skiing at The Choate School. While at Middlebury College, he played varsity soccer and was Captain of the varsity lacrosse team. Jeff served as a Captain in the US Army, Armor Branch. He went on to pursue a JD at the University of Louisville and an MBA at the Olin School at Babson College. Between duties as Resolute’s President and sales executive for the Northeast region, Jeff enjoys getting back out on the soccer field, leading the Resolute ski racing team and -- of course -- rowing.
Sue HinckleyPlant Manager
Bringing over 30 years of experience in customer service and marine carpentry, Sue Hinckley has been a proud member of the Resolute team since 2002. Sue gained rowing experience over the two years she rowed for Boston University while attending BU’s School of Management in the early 1980s. Shifting gears from other career pursuits, she decided to follow her lifelong love of boatbuilding by attending the Wood Construction Center at Seattle Central Community College in 1996 where she received her degree in Marine Carpentry. After a year and a half of working at as the carbon parts laminator at Pocock Racing Shells, she returned to school to specialize in boat repair. Back on the east coast she worked building custom sailboats for America’s Cup boat builder and Resolute co-founder, Eric Goetz. This connection lead to her first position with the Resolute management team in July 2002. As Plant Manager she oversees customer service and the production line. She loves skiing, singing, sailing and paddle boarding with her family. She currently resides in Cranston, RI.
Ana CativoOffice Manager
Resolute veteran and jack-of-all-trades, Ana Cativo brings over twenty years of administrative experience to the Resolute team. Even before joining the Resolute family in 2002, Ana was well-versed in the rhythms of the manufacturing environment and what it looks like to serve administratively. She wears the many hats of Accounting Manager, Human Resource/Payroll Administrator and Purchasing Agent and is an invaluable part of keeping Resolute moving and growing. When she’s not turning the wheels of Resolute, Ana enjoys traveling, dining out, reading and spending time with her family where she resides in Bristol, Rhode Island.
Ned FosterService Coordinator Originally from Pennington, NJ, Ned Foster began rowing for the Mercer Junior Rowing Club in 2002 as a freshman in high school. He went to college at Northeastern where he continued his rowing career. Ned coached novice high school boys for Bromfield/Acton-Boxborough Rowing in Harvard, MA before attending the International Yacht Restoration School and focusing his work on composite construction. As Service Coordinator, Ned functions in a catch-all role for Resolute as he travels to different regattas providing service for everything from simple tweaks to full repairs. When he’s not frequenting regattas, he regularly assists in the Resolute construction shop helping with mold construction, jig construction and engineering. Ned currently lives in Bristol, RI.
John “Turtle” TelfeyanEngineering Consultant
John is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island School of Engineering and has been in the boat building industry for 39 years. In 1995 when the first Resolute racing shells were built he was there. During his career which began in 1976, he has helped build over 100 custom, composite boats ranging from 14 to 105 feet. Most of these boats have been top level offshore racing sailboats including 9 America’s Cup Class boats. Using his many years of experience in composites, John has helped Resolute maintain the highest level of construction quality and helped make advancements in the equipment and hardware used to complete the Resolute package.
An avid aviation enthusiast and private pilot, since 2007 has also brought his knowledge and experience to Terrafugia, a company developing a new carbon fiber aircraft that uses the same high-tech composite construction.
