Cultivating the love of rowing is at the heart of Resolute. We believe that physical setbacks shouldn’t disable people from quality of life and physical activity, which is why we’re excited about our newest mission: To be innovators and advocates of the adaptive rowing community by developing unique and comfortable seats for athletes.
On Saturday, 18-year-old Roni Vorvoreanu took home the gold medal in the Israel Rowing Championship for Juniors shortly followed by the silver in the National Rowing Championship. Despite being the only rower competing in both events, Israel native, Vorvoreanu, finished 17 seconds faster than the requirement set by the Israeli Olympic Committee. Her impressive finish in the race qualified her to compete in the Junior Olympics in the Czech Republic in May as well as the University Championship in South Korea this July.
Set in sunny southern California, last week’s San Diego Crew Classic was a treat for those of us at Resolute who made the cross country trek from cold and snowy New England. The regatta draws over 4,000 participants annually from 130 programs including juniors, collegiate, alumni, masters and adaptive rowers across the United States. For many, the SDCC is a marked heralding of spring and rowing season as it maintains its place as the first main regatta of the year.
