RESOLUTE Adaptive launched the first Adaptive Seat nearly three years ago and the response from para-rowers has been decidedly impressive. With it, our goal was to make great strides both in para-rowing innovation and in the mindset of the adaptive sports industry. As a result, our seats and other products are proven for comfort, durability and optimal performance to ensure a positive experience for para-athletes of all ability ranges.

This past weekend, Community Rowing, Inc. of Boston (CRI) served as host to a Para Coaching Practical Workshop presented by Ellen Minzner (Director of Outreach), Beth Noll (High Performance Para Coach), and Marilyn Koban (CRI Military and Para Programs Coordinator). RESOLUTE Racing Shells and RESOLUTE Adaptive (Bristol, RI) helped sponsor the event.


RESOLUTE Adaptive at the 12th Annual Kelly Brush Ride for Athletes With Spinal Cord Injuries

This past weekend, we were thrilled to take part in an event that embodies our mission on so many levels: The 12th Annual Kelly Brush Ride. The event humbly began as a fundraiser organized by the Middlebury College Alpine Ski Team in 2006 in support of their teammate, Kelly Brush, who sustained a spinal cord injury in an alpine skiing accident that left her paralyzed.


RESOLUTE Adaptive Supports International Para-Rowing Camp

Club Spotlight: Holyoke Rows

Holyoke Rows is a non-profit community organization located at Jones Ferry River Access Center along the Connecticut River in Holyoke, Massachusetts. In addition to developing high school programs for youth athletes, the club runs rowing programs for adults as well as adaptive rowing programs for people with disabilities.

Athlete Spotlight: BAYADA Adaptive Regatta

The BAYADA Regatta, now in its 35th year, is the nation’s oldest and largest all-adaptive rowing competition for athletes with disabilities. Sponsored by BAYADA Home Health Care, this year's event took place on August 13, 2016 at the St. Joseph’s University Boathouse on the banks of the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, PA. Resolute and Resolute Adaptive were there to support the crews and get the athletes' take on the new Adaptive Seat we offer.

Saint Charles Rowing Club (a big part of the Resolute family) & the St. Charles Canoe & Kayak Club sponsored a "Learn to Row" charity event for veterans and their families on September 13, 2015. 


New Adaptive Seat Demos At Veterans Wheelchair Games in Dallas

Testing and demonstrations are now underway for the new RESOLUTE Adaptive Seat using race car seat technology from sister company, Crawford.  The goal was simple: Design a universal seat for adaptive rowers that fits all RESOLUTES, C-2 Ergs, as well as other boats. Initially tested on June 2, 2015 at Community Rowing, Inc., the initial response was enthusiastic.

We believe that physical setbacks shouldn’t disable people from quality of life and physical activity, which is why we’re excited about our newest mission: To be innovators and advocates of the adaptive rowing community by developing unique and comfortable seats for athletes.
