Previous Success – Over the years juniors, masters and college crews have all had tremendous success with the RESOLUTE MidWeight 4+. We have had wins in virtually every major regatta at every level. This boat accommodates an extremely wide average crew weight range from under 145 pounds to over 195 pounds. In addition, many crews have competed successfully with the MidWeight 4+ who were outside the original crew weight design parameters.
Growing Need for a LightWeight 4+ - While we appreciate the RESOLUTE MidWeight 4+’s versatility, we also recognize that there is a growing need for a RESOLUTE LightWeight 4+ to accommodate petite young ladies, and middle school and freshmen young men before they hit their growth spurt. Towards that end we have begun the design process for a new RESOLUTE LightWeight 4+.
Design Parameters – The new RESOLUTE LightWeight 4+ will have all the design attributes that you have come to expect and appreciate from RESOLUTE including: ultra high performance racing capability, incredible stiffness, and unmatched durability. The LightWeight 4+ will be somewhat shorter than our MidWeight 4+ to reduce wetted surface and contribute to additional speed potential. The designed average crew weight range for the LightWeight 4+ will be between 120 and 160 pounds.

Pricing – The RESOLUTE Intrepid model LightWeight 4+ is priced the same as our MidWeight 4+ at $21,900.
Deposits Being Accepted – Minimum deposits of $1,000 are now being accepted by RESOLUTE to hold a place in our production queue. Your deposit will be placed in an interest bearing escrow account and the full amount will be applied to your order.

Please Note – Boat Weights: The designations MidWeight and LightWeight refer to the average crew weight of the rowers, NOT the weight of the boat. USRowing and FISA have minimum boat weight requirements regardless of crew weight which all RESOLUTE Racing Shells meet. Therefore, by regulation, the boat weight of any LightWeight boat should not be less than a MidWeight nor less than a HeavyWeight boat, regardless of the manufacturer.
